Donyale Luna
Donyale Luna was found by David McCabe, a British photographer, in front of the Fisher Building in Detroit in the year 1963. It didn’t take long before she was carried away to New York City, where she immediately became a major star, and she ultimately ventured into movies, primarily in European countries.

Unfortunately, Luna passed away in the year 1979 as a result of her drug addiction. She had only recently reached the age of 33. The illustrious artist Salvador Dali found inspiration for his work in the form of the model and actress. She was the first African American cover girl, which cemented her place in history.
