Roger Federer was born in Switzerland to Mr/Mrs Robert and Lynette Federer in 1981. He grew up in nearby Birsfelden, Riehen, and then Münchenstein, close to the French and German borders. The tennis star is married to former Women’s Tennis Association player Mirka Vavrinec.
