Melanie Amaro
To find out what happened to the first-ever winner of The X Factor, we’ll be travelling to the United States of America. Melanie Amaro, who won the competition in 2011, became the show’s youngest ever winner at the age of twenty-one. Despite earning a five-million-dollar recording contract with Simon Cowell’s record label, Amaro’s career never really took off.

This came as a big surprise to everyone because the singer’s debut album, Truly, was never made available for purchase. Despite her difficulties, she has released music and is currently signed to a record label in Atlanta, where she will continue to work.
