During her time as Chris Crocker, Cara Cunningham (then known as Chris Crocker) recorded an emotional video in which she defended Britney Spears, which was released at the time. Crocker was ahead of the curve, despite the fact that the pop artist had been subjected to abusive conservatorship for decades. In the footage, she cried, “Leave Britney Alone!” as she walked away.
