Get The Inside Scoop on the Royal Invitee List
Who is invited to the royal wedding this spring? We've done the sleuthing and found the people most likely to be invited. For the record, Meghan and Harry confirmed that they are inviting 2,640 members of the public to their wedding. Each wedding invitation will have a name on it so it will not be possible to sell them to others.
However, they are not inviting Meghan's half-brother, Thomas, after a series of interviews in which he lashed out at her. Therefore, Thomas will have to watch the Royal Wedding from his home in Oregon, 8,000 miles away from Windsor Castle. He is also a bit of an embarrassment to the Markle family after he was arrested last year for allegedly holding a gun to his fiancee's head. He has since, however, apologized and said he is "seeking help". So who should we expect to see at the wedding? Here's our list:
David and Victoria Beckham
Meghan Markle turns to her friend Victoria Beckham for style advice. Meghan who has many official outings with Prince Harry is compiling a working wardrobe. According to a friend of Beckham's, Meghan and Victoria get along well and are in touch. "Meghan really likes Victoria's style and was keen to pick her brains about pulling together a working wardrobe. She loves Victoria's elegant but smart dresses, so expect her to wear one very soon." The two beauties became friends when Markle moved to the U.K. last year. Beckham is said to have reached out to Meghan to offer beauty advice and apparently recommended her facialist Sarah Chapman, who Meghan visited just days before the engagement announcement.
Sophie Ellis Bextor
Sophie is an English singer, songwriter, and model. She first came to fame in the late 1990s, as the lead singer of the indie rock band Theaudience. After the group broke up, Ellis-Bextor went solo, achieving widespread success in the early 2000s. In her former blog The Tig, Meghan raved about Sophie's music, including her hit Come With Us, which is featured on one of her playlists. She wrote: "Yes, sweet Sophie stole our musical hearts with the hit, Murder on the Dance Floor, a tune that has stood the test of time for our requisite late night grooving, but her new album Familia offers this beat titled, Come with Us that channels old-school Madonna vibes like no other. "Love, love, love! Bravo, Sophie! Love to you and the familia!"
