When Scottish actor Ewan McGregor happened to meet Greek-French production designer Eve Mavrakis on the set of Kavanagh QC by happenstance, they became fast friends. Through the course of their romance, the two were inseparable. In 1995, they tied the knot in a private ceremony. When you consider that Mavrakis works as a production designer, it makes sense that their wedding was absolutely beautiful.
When the couple adopted a child in 2006, they were already the parents of three girls. Jamiyan, their Mongolian adoptive daughter, was born in 2006 to the couple. Unfortunately, the couple has since separated, despite the fact that they continue to co-parent their children. That’s how it goes.
