Vin Diesel
While Diesel knew he always wanted to be an actor but he didn’t go about it the usual way. Instead, he shunned TV shows but would watch the same movie dozens of times. He said he watched the 1954 movie “On the Waterfront” at least 100 times. When he was dreaming of becoming an actor, his mom gave him a book called “Feature Films at Used Car Prices”. It offered practical advice about filmmaking that Diesel credits for part of his success over the years. Vin Diesel worked as a bouncer for 10 years at bars and nightclubs until his acting career took off.
