Originally Tobey Maguire wanted to be a chef, but he turned to acting after his mother offered him $100 to take drama rather than home economics in high school. The seemingly fearless actor who portrayed Spiderman in the Spiderman series from 2002-2007 – is actually afraid of heights! Kudos to him for pursuing a role that revolves around a web-slinging hero who swings from skyscrapers. When he’s not acting he loves to gamble and played in the World Series of Poker. He actually won the Phil Hellmuth Poker Invitational at the Hollywood Park Casino in LA, taking the first prize of $95,480.
