Corsica, France
Corsica, a mountainous Mediterranean island, is a blend of stylish coastal towns, dense forest and craggy peaks (Monte Cinto is the tallest). Nearly half the island has a park with hiking trails. Its beaches range from busy Pietracorbara to remote Saleccia and Rondinara. While it’s governed by France since 1768, the island retains its distinct Italian culture.
