Dbanj is a Nigeria hip hop artiste known internationally for his summer hit song Oliver Twist released in 2010. Dbanj is one of the few Nigeria artiste who are changing the Nigeria music industry with his energetic style of music. He is one of the top five richest musicians in Nigeria.

Mercury Records – D’banj signed with Mercury Records, the label operate as a standalone company in the UK and as part of the The Island Def Jam Music Group in the US; both are subsidiaries of Universal Music Group, The Nigerian Star is listed on the record label official website as one of their acts, along with other international stars like Elton John, JLo, Kanye West, Jay Z, Fabulous, Mariah Carey, Ludacris, Ne Yo and a host of other stars.
