Why Queen Elizabeth II Doesn’t Take her Christmas Decorations Down Until February

November 26, 2015 by Veronica Phillips

Christmas pudding

Every country has its own dessert associated with Christmas. In the UK, their favorite dessert is Christmas pudding, which is actually quite weird since pudding is an old way of saying dessert. Anyway, Christmas pudding is a bread-based pudding with raisins and other pieces of fruit. The royal family makes sure that every Christmas, there’s at least one Christmas pudding for the table.

In fact, the queen sends out a whopping 1,500 puddings to her staff in Buckingham Palace every year. Seeing as how the staff at the Palace is underpaid, if we were them, we’d probably cash the pudding in for a couple of pounds.
