As we mentioned before, the royal family is pretty large, and it continues to grow with every subsequent generation. However, even though the queen doesn’t play favorites, it makes sense that only her immediate family get to spend Christmas with her in her home. That said, even extended members can get a glimpse of what Christmas at the queen’s house is like.
Every year, the queen holds lunch at the Buckingham Palace roughly a week before Christmas. It’s during this opportunity that all members of the royal family get to see the queen and celebrate an early Christmas with Her Majesty. During this time, they exchange gifts, have a couple of drinks, and spend quality time together as a family.
