Why Queen Elizabeth II Doesn’t Take her Christmas Decorations Down Until February

Christmas is a hectic time for anyone, and you can only imagine just how busy the queen is during these months. First of all, she decorates her Sandringham Home by hand.  As you can imagine, a queen’s home isn’t like some shoebox apartment in NY. To call the house huge is the understatement of the millennium.

After her decorations are up, she and her closest relatives exchange gifts with each other on Christmas eve. She also takes the time to address the public through the queen’s speech on Christmas Day. Her speech is broadcast to every TV in the country at 3 PM.
