James Corden Has A Stellar Reputation
When James Corden first started to become popular in the United States—I believe he was in a play in New York City that got huge—I distinctly recall hearing a prevalent sentiment in the United Kingdom to the effect that “You Yanks can have him.” I’ll admit that I’ve never really grasped that concept, but if he was notorious for being rude to his followers, I can see how that might have contributed to his less than stellar reputation in the United Kingdom.
However, I do feel obligated to give him credit because he does have some hilarious segments on his talk show. Carpool Karaoke, the musicals performed in the crosswalks, and the extremely silly mini-musicals he performs with his guests are all pretty great. However, considering that he works with a group of other writers and producers, I doubt that he can truly claim credit for all of that.
