Beyoncé Fans Call Her A Monster
In all candor, I can’t make up my mind about this. Beyoncé has never been that big of an artist for me, and she never will be. I don’t mind her all that much, and she has a few songs that I enjoy, but I’ve never really understood the level of adoration that she seems to inspire in some of her fans. I don’t particularly mind her, and she has a few songs that I enjoy. She’s alright, but she doesn’t blow my mind like other people do (an unpopular opinion, I know).

Beyoncé might be a bad person, but I don’t think it’s fair to sum the whole thing up by saying that. This is a complicated issue. To begin, those allegations were published in a tabloid, which is not the best source to turn to for journalism that is really factual, and as far as I can tell, the article never claimed that children were working there. Most importantly, the unfortunate reality is that the majority of our stuff is produced in factories similar to that one. You are going to have to get rid of a lot of the things you own if you have a problem with the fact that some products are manufactured in factories by people who are paid low wages. I applaud you for taking such a stance, if that’s something you’re willing to do. However, holding only Beyoncé accountable for this situation is an odd example of double standards.
