James Charles’s Damaged Reputation
This is the part of the post where I reveal my age: I’m not sure if I could name anyone who is considered to be a “social media influencer,” and I certainly couldn’t name any influencers in the realm of makeup and beauty. Consequently, I was required to research James Charles.
According to what I’ve learned, two minor boys have accused him of trying to sexually exploit them by sending them naked photos and pressuring them to sext with him. Charles has admitted that while he was involved in the incidents, he had a sincere belief that the people he was communicating with were of legal age. This belief persisted even after Charles was removed from the situations. Regardless of whether or not that is accurate, there is no doubt that the incidents have damaged his reputation.
