All Joss Whedon Touched Became A Hit
At one point in her career, Joss Whedon was practically invincible. It appeared as though everything he worked on became a success, beginning with Firefly and continuing on to Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog. You couldn’t call yourself a true nerd if you didn’t have a deep affection for at least one of his creations (mine was Firefly, though I can still sing all the words to every song in Dr. Horrible).

But it seems as though he might have a shadowy side, and at this point, I’m not even sure why we continue to act surprised by things like this in the first place. Many of the actors with whom he has collaborated have come forward with allegations that he engaged in some pretty awful behaviors; the term “casual cruelty” is frequently used to describe his alleged actions. WarnerMedia conducted an investigation into these claims, and the company claims that “remedial action was taken.” Whatever that phrase actually means.
