Roman Polanski Fled To Europe To Avoid Prosecution
Roman Polanski, an influential filmmaker, is the next stop on our tour of human cesspools. Polanski is known for his behavior in the 1970s, when he drugged and sexually harassed a girl of 13 years old. Polanski later fled to Europe to avoid being prosecuted for his actions. It’s commonly believed that he’s been hiding out in Switzerland, but recent evidence suggests that he’s actually been in France for the majority of the time.

People do, on occasion, still attempt to defend him by pointing to his artistic prowess and the body of work he has produced. For my part, I do not want to live in a world in which people are excused for engaging in such heinous behavior simply because they are talented and have produced a film that is enjoyed by a certain audience.
