It was in the 1990s when Jesse “The Body” developed Jesse “The Body,” a fictional character. For many of us, the word Ventura conjures up images of professional wrestling and the film Predator. All the while, Ventura was serving in the United States Navy’s Underwater Demolition Team, which saw action in the Vietnam War. Wrestling and Hollywood were just beginning to take notice of him at the time of his service.

Though his entire life revolved around warfare in the ring, this professional wrestler did not have the opportunity to participate in any actual combat during his time in the military. As much as he was called a Navy Seal, Ventura never finished his training with the elite special operations team.
