Arnold Schwarzenegger
Arnold Schwarzenegger served in the Austrian army before becoming a well-known weightlifter, actor, and eventually California governor. His military service may have been tiny compared to the fight scenes we’d seen him in films like Terminator, but he served nonetheless.

On the other side, he felt compelled to join the military. If you are a male under the age of 18, Austrian law mandates that you serve at least a full calendar year in the military based on your nationality. At the time, he was serving as a conscript. One of his numerous accomplishments at this time was winning the Mr. Europe Contest while serving in the military.
