Celebs Who Started Their Adult Life In The Military

June 25, 2020 by Elizabeth Grillo

Prince Andrew

Prince Andrew, the younger brother of Prince Charles, devotes much of his time to the military, unlike most of the celebrities on this list. Such that you had to question if he also had time for a social life on the side. After finishing his Lynx training, he was sent to the Mediterranean to begin his tour of duty.

His military career culminated in 1989 when he retired from the Navy as an officer of the watch and assistant navigating officer from HMS Edinburgh, where he had served since 1986. In 1995, he was promoted to senior pilot of the 815 Naval Air Squadron as a consequence of his achievements. He retired from the British Ministry of Defense in 2001 as a Diplomatic Directorate of the Naval Staff officer following a military career that spanned three decades.
