Robert Duvall
In addition to being an actor and director, Robert Duvall is also a member of the United States military. In his younger years, he used to refer to himself as a “army brat” because he was constantly on the move, following his father’s instructions from state to state. What if I told you his father was an Admiral in the Navy? It’s also a well-known one. Gen. Robert E. Lee, who was born in Virginia, is a direct ancestor of Duvall.

After graduating from college, he decided to enlist in the US Army. As a private first class in the Korean War, he spent two years honing his acting chops while serving his country. In the wake of his release, he relocated to New York City and enrolled in the Neighborhood Playhouse School, which provided him with numerous opportunities to further his acting career.
