Chuck Norris
Chuck Norris developed his distinctive roundhouse kick while serving in the military as a security guard. His military service in the 1950s and 1960s helped Bruce Lee acquire an interest in self-defense methods. Norris served in the military from 1958 to 1962, during which time he received many of the black belts that would later help launch his acting career.

During this time, he also did stunt work. After completing his military service, he resumed his martial arts training, culminating in the Tang Soo Do and Taekwondo middleweight titles. This made him impregnable both in and out of the studio.
