Gene Hackman – Fawn Island
When pregnant deer from the San Juan Islands in Washington State travel to this island, they give birth on “Fawn Island.” Surely, you think it’s the most adorable thing you’ve ever seen. It was purchased by Gene Hackman in 1989 and he lived there until 2005, when he decided to put it up for sale.

At the time, the island was home to three distinct dwellings. One of the studios was located on the ground floor. Gene’s gym was located on the second floor, and the Hackman family lived on the third floor. Because he needed the money to buy an even more remote island in British Columbia, Gene Hackman appears to have left Fawn Island in order to do so.
