Beatrice Borromeo – the Borromean Islands
Beatrice Borromeo enjoyed many privileges thanks to the fact that she was born into an aristocratic family. These advantages extended to her throughout her life. Since the 16th century, the Borromeo family has owned the majority of the islands that can be found in the Italian section of Lake Maggiore, and they still own the majority of those islands today.

Therefore, as a result of Beatrice Borromeo’s marriage to Pierre Casiraghi, the son of Princess Caroline, she was able to bring a number of private islands from her home country of Italy with her to her new home in Monaco. These islands are now a part of the Casiraghi family. Isola Bella was the location of the couple’s lavish yet low-key wedding in 2015, which took place on the island. The marriage between these two individuals resulted in the birth of two sons, whose names are Stefano and Francesco, respectively.
