Instead of in front of the camera, she was seeing herself performing on the stage
As an actress, Nancy Valen’s life may have taken a totally different path. As a child, Valen dreamed of performing on stage rather than in front of the camera. “Ryan’s Hope,” a city-based soap opera, cast Valen. Two years into the program, she decided to leave and relocate to LA.
In “Porky’s Revenge,” she had her first starring part in a major motion picture (1985). Her other notable parts include those in “The Heavenly Kid,” “Listen to Me,” and “Loverboy.” In 1996, she landed the role of Samantha Thomas on “Baywatch” for the sixth and seventh seasons.
