Having taken a few months off, Burns returned for 46 episodes of “Baywatch: Hawaii,” the spin-off series. NBC’s game show “Dog Eat Dog” was her next position. During her tenure as host in 2002 and 2003, Burns’ abilities as a host were lauded.

After her time as a television host ended, Burns returned to acting. Additionally, she starred in “Melrose Place,” “Community,” and “CSI: Miami.”
