Finally, the Academy Awards in 2022 had a moment that left the audience perplexed as to what they were witnessing. While hosting the show, Chris Rock cracked a joke on Jada Pinkett Smith’s hair, which went viral.
After Rock made a joke about his wife’s baldness, Will Smith walked onto the stage and smacked him across the face with his fist. Smith, on the other hand, would go on to win the award for Best Actor later that night. Because of what happened, Smith has resigned from the Academy, although others have remained on the position.
