Bob Dylan’s Visitor
When someone ran on stage with the words “Soy Bomb” scribbled on their chest and interrupted Bob Dylan’s Grammys performance in 1998, everything seemed to be back to normal again. Michael Portnoy is the stuntman as well as the performer who is responsible for the stunt.

Portnoy was also performing on that particular night. He believed that he had arrived at a new stage in the evolution of music, and that Dylan had gotten out of touch with the times. ‘Soy Bomb,’ he explains, is an expression that denotes “a type of battle between life and death and explosion.” Not everyone was persuaded to give up Bob Dylan’s music as a result of his efforts.
