One of the best reasons why stocks should be part of every investor’s portfolio is that stock dividends tend to increase over time. Even better, that dividend growth has generally outpaced inflation. If you invest wisely then you can actually live off of the dividend-income generated from your stock picks. If you want to get paid regularly there are funds that pay out dividends every month. In fact, most mega-rich people, including billionaire Warren Buffet acquired their wealth this way. Buffet suggests that when you first make money, you may be tempted to spend it. Don’t. Instead, reinvest the profits.
