How can your work experience be real if internships aren’t real?
Different companies will assign different weights to various areas in your resumé. For instance, one company might appreciate your educational background more than your prior work experience, but there’ll always be something that they look down on. In Facebook’s case, it’s internships.
So, if you were a full-time intern at a company for six months, all 960 hours of the time you spent there means squat in the eyes of Facebook. Thankfully, this wasn’t the case for this applicant, but the fact that this huge corporation doesn’t accept internships as legitimate work experience is quite baffling.
