You need to be available all week for a couple of hours of work
Working for 40 hours a week isn’t out of the ordinary. In fact, that’s what you’d get from a basic 9-to-5 job. But what’s weird about this listing is that the employer is asking for candidates who are available for 40 hours while also not promising that much work.
It’s immediately clear that the employer wants their applicants to be at their beck and call whenever they’re needed. At least the listing is honest about how slow their business is, and there’s a half-guarantee that your workload will increase as the practice becomes busier. But imagine only getting paid $30 every week and not being allowed to search for other job options.
