No passion
If you don’t dedicate your spare time to doing something, that’s a pretty clear sign that you’re not passionate about it. Passion is one of the most sought-after qualities in a job applicant, so we sort of understand where this interviewer at Blizzard is coming from.
However, if someone doesn’t use their leisure time to program, does that automatically make them a bad programmer? If they have the knowledge but don’t use it during their downtime, why would you straight-up disregard the applicant? Sorry, Blizz, but once again, you’ve given us a reason to hate you.
