Moving away from EME record label after the broke up with label, in 2013, Wizkid introduced his own record label “Star Boy Entertainment” and has produced more hits songs which includes Caro, Ojuelegba and ‘On Top Your Matter’. Wizkid has numerous endorsement deals from top companies like Pepsi,MTN and so on, over the years Wizkid has amassed wealth with a total net worth of $11.5 million.
Wizkid’s Endorsement Deals
MTN – 2013 Wizkid signed an endorsement deal with Telecommunication giant MTN in a deal that worth about 100 million naira. Wizkid didn’t renew his two years contract MTN, instead, moved to Glo for yet a better deal.
Pepsi – The global brand company signed Wizkid and Tiwa Salvage in 2011, the multi million deal was initially for a year but was extended by two years, Wizkid renewed his contract with Pepsi in 2015.
GLO – wizkid joins the GLO family after his contract with MTN expired early this year (2015), the new deal with GLO we see Wizkid pocket more than N120m according to insiders report.
What Wizkid Charges Per Show
With his growing fame among music lovers, Wizkid continues to show relevance in the industry with hits upon hits songs, he is surely a catch for show promoters. Wizkid charges 5m – 7m and he covers between 30 – 50 shows yearly both local and international.
Basically, each artistes has a standard fee for gigs, concerts but for private parties such as birthday, wedding, etc, it varies. Some people would call for reduction simply because they are individuals, not brands. It depends on the artistes whether to accept or not.
